A large imposing well painted decorative 19th Century portrait painting in original gilt slip frame.  The handsome, albeit somewhat stern looking Lady is probably a person of note and significance within the household as can be seen by the particularly good details to jewellery and hands.  There are historic patch repairs to the back but these do not detract from its overall presence and display.
