A Chinese 19th century rustic wooden wheel mounted on a custom made black metal stand. This large solid handmade Chinese wheel has a square central reinforced hole reserved for the axle tree, and is encircled by a thick metal rim.  It has decorative incised accent patterns to both sides of the exterior and showcases a great weathered patina witnessing its long use. This is a wonderful relic of a bygone era demonstrating a rustic presence; with its good proportions it would make a handsome decorative centrepiece item in most rooms, and will no doubt add a touch of authenticity to any home. The wheel itself has a diameter of 80 cm; the height of the wheel on the mount is 116 cm with the base has a depth of 30 cm.
