The natural charm of this impressively strong, sturdy and solid standing naïve country look table is that it is quite unique and in such good original condition. It was clearly skilfully purpose made by the intended user or possibly as an Estate made piece for a large space and to provide an expansive work surface possibly as a jewellers, clockmaker or other type of work table. The long, perfectly worn dense pine timbers have sheet metal tacked to one end and the planks have been bolted together to keep them tight and true..  

The colour of the wood of this tactile top is warm, through years of use, and reflects how lovingly and well cared it has been, particularly as it has not been abused at all despite its origins as a work table. It stands upon later, but still old, iron trestle bases that slot into indents made for them. The trestle bases have a gentle pitting achieved through long use and natural elements.

Whilst it will need a large space, as can be seen from the given dimensions at over 2 metres (9 feet) in length the top is actually quite smooth, making it ideal for many interior uses.  It would make a great table for a shop to display clothing etc, or in a kitchen as a prep table and/or for dining from.
