18th Century Directoire Period Deconstructed Library Chair
Elegant 18th Century circa 1780-90 deconstructed Directoire period enclosed library chair of shapely form with original parcel gilt and polychrome decoration on turned reeded fluted legs. Deconstructed down to the original linen and hessian with horsehair padding with the old stud work and feather down seat cushion. Suitable for recovering or use as it is would work well as a desk or library chair. In time worn but good condition given its age and use.
